1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
Welcome to E-Invite (“Harusi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our website, digital invitation builder, RSVP management dashboard, QR code event verification tools, or SMS reminder services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you are creating an account on behalf of a couple, wedding committee, company, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age to register for an account and host an event on E-Invite.
2. Description of Services
E-Invite provides specialized digital event management software designed specifically for weddings, send-offs, kitchen parties, anniversaries, and corporate celebrations in Tanzania and East Africa. Our services include:
- Digital interactive invitation cards (Single and Double guest formats) with custom typography, couple photography, and event timelines.
- Digital contribution and pledge tracking cards featuring direct payment instructions for Tanzanian mobile money services (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, Halopesa) and local bank accounts.
- Real-time RSVP tracking, guest list management, and plus-one control.
- Automated and scheduled SMS event countdown reminders and wedding day notifications.
- Unique cryptographic QR code passes for gate check-in and reception admission.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
When you create an account on E-Invite, you must provide accurate, complete, and updated information, including a valid phone number and email address. You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and administrative access tokens.
- All activities and data entries conducted through your dashboard or by your designated wedding committee members.
- Promptly notifying E-Invite of any unauthorized access or security breach at support@e-invite.co.tz.
4. SMS Reminders & Messaging Rules
Important Notice regarding SMS Communications: By uploading guest phone numbers, you warrant that every recipient is personally known to the couple/organizer and reasonably expects to receive wedding invitations or event communications.
To comply with Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) regulations and telecommunications carrier policies:
- No Spam or Unsolicited Cold Outreach: E-Invite is strictly for private, consensual event coordination. You may not upload purchased contact lists, scraped leads, or marketing directories.
- Message Frequency: Organizers may schedule reminders (e.g., 1 to 4 times per week up to event completion). Over-messaging or harassing guests is strictly prohibited.
- Deliverability: While E-Invite uses premium direct telecom routes with local network operators (Vodacom, Tigo, Airtel, Halotel), delivery can be affected by network outages, handset settings, or guest roaming. E-Invite is not liable for delayed carrier delivery beyond our control.
- Opt-Out Compliance: Any guest who indicates they do not wish to receive further SMS reminders must be marked as unsubscribed or removed from the active notification queue immediately.
5. Contributions & Payment Tracking
E-Invite provides software cards to display wedding budget targets, committee contribution details, and payment instructions to invited guests.
- Informational Ledger: E-Invite functions as an informational record-keeper and digital card presentation engine. Unless specifically processed through our registered checkout partner, E-Invite does not hold escrow or manage private monetary funds transferred between guests and couples.
- Accuracy of Account Details: The event organizer is exclusively responsible for providing correct mobile money Lipa numbers, till numbers, or bank account numbers. E-Invite accepts no liability for money sent to incorrect numbers entered by organizers.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes regarding wedding pledges, gifts, or financial contributions remain solely between the event organizers and the contributing guests.
6. Intellectual Property & Content
Your Content: You retain full copyright and ownership of all photographs, love story write-ups, family names, and custom text you upload to E-Invite. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to host, format, generate cards, and deliver your invitations to your intended recipients.
Our Platform IP: The E-Invite software, interface designs, template layouts (including Crimson Romance, Royal Gold, Golden Radiance, Midnight Luxury, Emerald Garden, etc.), branding, code, and graphics are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reverse-engineer, copy, redistribute, or resell our invitation templates or software.
7. Pricing, SMS Bundles & Cancellations
Certain features, high-volume SMS packages, and bespoke design customizations may require payment. All fees are displayed in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) or US Dollars (USD) and must be paid in advance.
SMS Bundles: SMS messages sent through our telecommunication gateways are non-refundable once dispatched to the network operators, as carrier transmission charges are incurred in real-time.
Service Upgrades: Upgrades and template customizations are activated immediately upon receipt of confirmation. If you experience an issue or double charge, contact our billing desk within 7 days.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for 99.9% platform availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted under Tanzanian law, E-Invite and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of event attendance, missed gifts, or telecommunications carrier downtime.
9. Account Termination & Data Purge
You may delete your event or request complete account closure at any time directly through your dashboard or by emailing our support desk. Upon verification, your event images, guest contact numbers, and contribution records will be permanently expunged from our active production database.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in abusive conduct, fraud, telecommunication spam, or violations of these Terms.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. In the event of any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach thereof, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith amicable negotiation before resorting to the competent courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
