At E-Invite, we recognize that wedding planning and personal celebrations involve deeply intimate details—from love stories and photographs to guest lists and personal phone numbers. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy and treating all personal data with the utmost discretion and highest security standards.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our digital platforms, including event hosts (couples and organizers) and invited event guests who receive cards or respond via RSVP.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal data in the following categories:
Names of couple/hosts, primary phone number, email address, password hash, event role, and account preferences.
Event dates, ceremony and reception venues, GPS coordinates, event timelines, couple photographs, and gift registry notes.
Guest full names, cellular phone numbers, card assignment (Single vs. Double), RSVP status (Attending, Declined, Pending), and plus-one counts.
Pledge commitments, logged gift amounts, transaction reference codes, and host verification status.
3. How We Use Your Data
We strictly use the collected data for operational and functional purposes:
- Generating personalized digital invitation cards and wedding links for each guest.
- Sending transactional SMS reminders, countdown alerts, and venue updates on behalf of the host.
- Creating unique scannable QR codes for seamless guest verification at reception entrance gates.
- Providing hosts with real-time RSVP counts and catering headcounts.
- Maintaining security, preventing fraudulent account creation, and resolving technical issues.
4. Guest Data & Zero Marketing Guarantee
We treat your guests with the same respect you do. Guest phone numbers and contact details uploaded to E-Invite are NEVER sold, rented, monetized, or shared with third-party advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.
Guest phone numbers are processed solely to deliver the specific wedding or event communications initiated by the host. We do not send promotional or marketing SMS to wedding guests.
5. Third-Party Service Providers & SMS Infrastructure
To deliver our services reliably, we partner with trusted, industry-standard infrastructure providers:
- Telecommunications SMS Gateways: We transmit invitation SMS and reminders via licensed Tanzanian SMS aggregators and mobile network operators (Vodacom, Tigo, Airtel, Halotel) under strict data processing agreements.
- Cloud Hosting & Databases: Our databases and digital assets are stored in secure cloud facilities utilizing industry-grade physical and electronic protections.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information only if required by a valid court order or statutory requirement under the laws of Tanzania.
6. Data Retention & Event Archival
We retain event and guest information for as long as your account remains active and for up to 180 days following the event date to allow couples to review attendance records, export guest lists, and send thank-you notes.
Hosts may delete their event or purge guest lists immediately from their dashboard at any time. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.
7. Security Safeguards & Encryption
We implement modern technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to safeguard all user information:

- Sensitive credentials and passwords are encrypted using strong cryptographic one-way hashes.
